Botanical Pre-Workout Questions: Caffeine, Extracts and the Scoop

Botanical ingredients can introduce unfamiliar names to a pre-workout label. A few straightforward distinctions make our Sweet Peach formula easier to understand.

Here are answers to common product questions, using the actual ingredients and amounts in AP Nootropic Pre-Workout.

Does botanical mean caffeine-free?

No. Guarana is the botanical caffeine source in our formula. Each serving contains 1,000 mg guarana seed extract standardized to 22% caffeine, supplying 220 mg caffeine.

Include that amount when planning around coffee, other caffeinated drinks and your training time.

Our 1,000 mg guarana seed extract at 22% caffeine supplies this amount. Botanical caffeine still counts toward the caffeine in your day.

What does the extract amount describe?

It describes the amount of the prepared ingredient in the serving. For guarana, the concentration also identifies how much of that amount is caffeine.

Our panel separately names maca root extract, ashwagandha root extract and mushroom fruiting body extracts. A shared word such as “extract” does not make different materials interchangeable.

Are mushrooms plants?

Mushrooms are fungi. Our formula includes 500 mg each of lion’s mane and cordyceps fruiting body extracts, alongside botanical ingredients such as guarana and maca.

Those specific names describe the ingredient profile more clearly than putting every ingredient into one broad plant category.

Is Sweet Peach sugar-free?

No. We use cane sugar and stevia leaf extract, and one serving contains 2 g added sugars. The serving also contains 15 calories and 4 g total carbohydrate.

Natural peach flavor and crystallized lemon contribute to the flavor, while beet juice and beta-carotene provide color.

How much is one serving?

The labeled Sweet Peach serving is one 22.75 g scoop, with 25 servings per container. Follow the current serving and mixing directions on your container.

Can it replace a meal or prescribed medicine?

Our pre-workout is a training supplement. Keep meals in your routine and take prescribed medicines as directed. The NCCIH supplement guide explains why interactions and individual health circumstances matter when considering supplements.

Bring the complete formula to the professional advising you if those questions apply.

Where can I see all the ingredients?

Our Sweet Peach Supplement Facts shows the dietary amounts and Other Ingredients list. Explore AP Nootropic Pre-Workout for current product options, using the details for the flavor you intend to prepare.
