Natural Energy for Training: Caffeine, Food and Botanical Ingredients

“Natural energy” can refer to several different things: caffeine from a plant, a meal that helps fuel exercise, or botanical ingredients in a supplement. Understanding the difference makes it easier to organize your training routine.

Our pre-workout uses guarana as its botanical caffeine source, alongside amino acids, roots and mushrooms. Each has a named place in the Sweet Peach formula.

Plan the food, the workout and the serving together. Each contributes a different part of your training day. AP LABS

Botanical caffeine has a measurable amount

One serving supplies 220 mg caffeine from 1,000 mg guarana seed extract at 22% caffeine. The plant source explains one of our ingredient choices; the caffeine amount tells you its contribution to the serving.

Coffee, tea and other caffeinated products can add to the same day’s intake. A botanical source does not make those amounts disappear or guarantee the same response for every person.

Food energy is a different part of preparation

Our Sweet Peach serving contains 15 calories and 4 g carbohydrate. A meal or snack supplies a different part of your training-day nutrition. Familiar options such as oats with milk, a sandwich or fruit with yogurt can be easier to organize than waiting until you are hungry on the way to the gym.

Choose foods and portions that suit your dietary needs and feel comfortable before your planned session. The supplement does not replace that meal.

Roots and mushrooms are not all caffeine substitutes

We include 2,000 mg maca root extract and 500 mg each of cordyceps and lion’s mane fruiting body extracts. Their presence does not mean each one acts like a stimulant or supplies an immediate burst of energy.

Human research has explored maca during cycling and a Cordyceps militaris blend during exercise testing. Those studies used their own preparations and produced results that depend on the outcome and comparison. They do not establish a universal “best energy ingredient” ranking.

Give each part of the routine a job

Plan the workout you want to complete, bring food and water, and allow time for the warm-up. If you choose our pre-workout, use the directions on the container and consider the caffeine alongside your session time and sleep.

Persistent tiredness is a reason to look at the wider situation and seek appropriate individual advice.
